What is Halal Food?

Halal food complies with Islamic Law or Shariah. In essence, it refers to food and beverages that are permissible for Muslims to consume. To be considered Halal, food must meet the following criteria:

Hygienic and safe for consumption
Free from any components that Muslims are prohibited from consuming according to Islamic law
Prepared using utensils and equipment that are free from contamination with najs (impure substances)

For meat products, this also means they must come from animals that are permissible to consume and have been slaughtered according to Islamic guidelines.

UNCLEBOB^® is proud to hold a Halal certificate for our central kitchen issued by JAKIM. All UNCLEBOB^® outlets are also expected to obtain their own Halal certification in due course.
